Dharpakad/ Dhar Pakad Meaning


Dharpakad is a Hindi word which probably originated from games like Kabaddi, and means to capture someone or somebody to stop them. It may be roughly translated in English to 'tackle'.

Dharpakad is these days commonly used for campaigns against any type of crime as 'apradhiyon ki dharpakad' which would translate to 'tackling the criminals'.
